Physical Therapy for Athletic Injuries
At Suburban Physical Therapy, we understand athletes.
Suburban Physical Therapy was founded by three physical therapists with strong backgrounds in rehabilitation and athletic training. Most of our physical therapists have been athletes at the high school or the collegiate level, and all have extensive experience working with athletes. A quick glance at our staff bios will show the wide range of sports and physical activities favored by our therapists and staff members, including boating, coaching, cycling, fishing, gardening, golf, hiking, mountain biking, running, skiing, soccer, softball, volunteering, and yoga.
Return-to-Sport Program
We are athletes ourselves, and we lead active, athletic lifestyles, so we understand that athletes want to return to their sport fast. Our Return to Sport program has been designed to ensure that when our patients return to playing their sports, they will be ready.
STEP ONE: EXAMINE
We begin with a thorough exam to assess the athlete’s physical condition and injury.
STEP TWO: EDUCATE
We educate athletes about the importance of healing properly, so that they can enjoy their sport for a lifetime.
STEP THREE: REHABILITATE
Our experienced physical therapists develop a personalized therapy plan to rehabilitate injury, providing ongoing support.
STEP FOUR: CLEAR TO RETURN TO SPORT
Our experienced physical therapists are experienced medical professionals who understand the return-to-sport criteria, and will ensure that injured athletes understand the importance of waiting to be cleared before returning to their sport.
