Hear our patients explain what makes Suburban Physical Therapy special…

I have been coming to Suburban Physical Therapy for an ACL repair. My PT is Javi. I love how friendly and welcoming the staff is! It helps turn a "not so fun" experience into a better experience. My favorite things to do at PT are running in the Alter G treadmill, the ball toss, and when Javi uses the Graston tools. Before PT, I had weak knees, hips, and ankles. They are not as strong as they can be yet, but we are working on it!

After an operation, I am in my 8th week of recovery and 6th week of "at-home" therapy with Suburban Physical Therapy. I am pleased to have this opportunity to comment on them.

Their staff is professional and unobtrusive. My PT, Lisa, is very knowledgeable, caring and experience. She is an effective therapist who clearly explains and demonstrates new exercises. She even draws illustrations to help me remember the workout.

Lisa also imaginatively uses my existing space for exercise, and brings equipment, (like weights or a walking stick) when needed. The sessions are quite generous and last over and hour. At the end, Lisa provides a wonderful. soothing fascia massage treatment to help heal and loosen my muscles.

Everyone notices my great improvement. In summary, I could not be happier, and recommend Suburban Physical Therapy and Lisa wholeheartedly.

After a knee replacement someone recommended Suburban Physical Therapy. I was a little hesitant because it was not an in- hospital therapy program. After the first day I knew I made the right decision. They were Awesome. I was very pleased with the care they took, making me feel comfortable, and at ease during my sessions. 3 years later I broke my hip and also had to have a knee revision. AGAIN I reached out to Suburban to get my body healthy. Katie was my therapist for both hip and knee revision, and she was excellent. Very knowledgeable, and great at motivation me to get through those tough but necessary exercises. I regained muscle strength and increased leg motion. I highly recommend Suburban, they truly care about their patients. After all, I put my body in their care "3 times".

In February I injured both my knees and needed physical therapy. I’ve been to Suburban Physical Therapy before and had great results. Rob Catanese was assigned to my case. This was our first time working together. Due to the pandemic my initial visits had to be virtual ones. It was different but Rob adapted and showed me the exercises I needed to do. Now I am going into the Suburban PT facility. Being an elderly at-risk patient, I’m nervous about being around other people. Rob is very sensitive to this and schedules my appointments during off peak hours. He has given me a wide variety of exercises, stretches and balance maneuvers to do. It’s a lot of work but I’ve seen definite results. Rob is professional, positive and patient. Physical therapy is a long process and the attitude of the therapist can make or break the experience. Rob is terrific.

My physical therapist is Katie. She's doing a great job keeping me on track and getting me back to playing soccer and running track. The staff here is very welcoming and is doing a great job working around the virus. I came here to train and strengthen my left hip, I had surgery in February of 2020.

After seeing another PT at a different practice with no improvement. I starting seeing Cara 8 years ago for core and low back issues. She was the only person that helped me after years of failed treatments! Over the years, I have seen her three different times, most recently after a broken ankle that was surgically repaired. Cara has been an incredible help even continuing to learn new skills like dry needling that have been very beneficial. Suburban PT is always a joy to come to from the friendly and helpful front desk staff to the other therapist. They are hands on and focused on wellness! Now, my ankle is improved and other issues are resolving. I have less pain and better range of motion thanks to Cara!

I’m so excited to write about my physical therapist, Holly at Suburban Physical Therapy. I suffered a knee injury in gymnastics last fall. For months, I tried physical therapy with another provider and things just didn’t get better. I was sad and losing hope that I would ever recover. And then I was referred to Holly. My whole mindset changed as soon as I met her. She was extremely patient and actually listened to me. If I struggled, Holly would take a step back with me. She is so kind, gentle and caring. I used to dread going to physical therapy. Now, I look forward to it each week because I know what’s possible. I love seeing Holly and the entire staff. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

My son began coming to Suburban over ten years ago after having a very serious infection and many surgeries of his elbow. The doctors told him he would never have full motion and most likely never be able to pay baseball again. The therapists at Suburban never doubted his ability to regain motion and with their help he was back to playing baseball. His doctors were beyond pleased and always said it's a miracle at how well his therapy went. We are so grateful for all his therapists, we have been back after every surgery and the results of his therapy have never disappointed. I have been so pleased with how they worked with my son that I am now receiving therapy after not only one but two major foot surgeries. I never thought I would be able to walk normally again but with the patience and kind gentle push from Holly I am on my way to recovery. I would recommend all the therapists at Suburban, you truly can not go wrong!

I have come to Suburban Physical Therapy numerous times for an on going issue. I've chosen to come back to this facility each time because the therapist are knowledgeable and assign exercises that I can actually do. I've worked with Katie twice and she's given me great exercises to do at home to improve leg stiffness and balance. I really appreciate how clean the facility is and that I'm never stuck waiting for my appointment.
